A one-day workshop in techniques that support integration of the nervous system. Have you ever worked with a child (or teen, or adult) whose nervous system seems overly reactive, overwhelmed by sensory input? These Building Block activities support people of any age in developing a stronger internal sense of pattern and structure, so that external input can be more easily received and responded to. Perfect for those with developmental challenges, sensory integration issues, ADD/ADHD, brain injury, and more. No prerequisite – anyone may attend. Cecilia Koester created this workshop from the activities she teaches in her BG170 course. Kathy Brown, M.Ed., is authorized by her as a provider for this workshop. Counts as 8 hours toward BG instructor re-licensure.
No prerequisite – Anyone may attend

When each hand holds a crayon or marker, the results are engaging and totally fun, not to mention a wonderful way to promote relaxed, whole-brain vision. In this one-day workshop you will experience five key Double Doodle hand movements, and put them to use in playful, engaging activities. Note: This is not “art”! It’s an opportunity to enjoy the fun of putting marks on paper in a Double Doodle way! Counts as 8 elective hours toward Brain Gym instructor licensure.

Touch for Health

Touch for Health is a means of quickly easing the discomfort of common aches, pains and stresses of daily living. This remarkable system utilizes “muscle checking” (kinesiology) to determine imbalances in muscle/meridian function and restores balance with gentle, safe, and effective acupressure techniques. Simple to learn, and so helpful to have in your wellness toolkit. We just concluded this course, and hope to offer it again in 2018, possibly in combination with Level 2. Please let us know if you’d be interested in participating in either Level 1 or 2, or both!
